Bio
Kaatje directs the Williams Center at Mt. Greylock, which focuses on maximizing academic programming between the college and the local middle/high school. In this role, she oversees Williams students who serve as teaching fellows in English, math, science, special skills and language classrooms, and as after-school homework helpers. Kaatje also helps arrange course fieldwork placements at Mt. Greylock, builds connections between Williams professors and Mt. Greylock teachers, and facilitates education outreach efforts in other area high schools. Kaatje manages the Williams Center’s budget and several program coordinators. Prior to her work at Williams, Kaatje served on the Williamstown Elementary School Committee and ran programs at the elementary level including Adventures in Learning, Bananarama Cinema Kablama, and Sunrise Spanish and Chinese. She graduated from Princeton University in 1980 with a degree in Art.
