Bio

Ash (they/them) directs CLiA programs in service of the incarcerated, elders, and people with disabilities including the Positive Pathways Partnership (P3), BFAIR Buddies, and the Friendly Visitors program. They come to the Center for Learning in Action with experience directing and developing programs in the realms of education, LGBTQIA+ activism, and elder services. Ash has worked as a high school theatre teacher, a Pride event planner, and a LGBT elder cultural responsiveness trainer and is looking forward to bringing the skills gained in those roles to the Assistant Director for Community Inclusion position. In addition to working at CLiA, Ash also serves on the board of the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Association and is the founder of The Rainbow Toolbox which provides LGBTQIA+ cultural responsiveness training to educators, parents, and caregivers of children and youth.
