Bio

Before becoming Director of the Center for Learning in Action in 2013, Paula served as the Coordinator of Experiential Education at Williams since 2002. She earned her doctorate in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992 writing a dissertation on the effects of jury service on political knowledge and attitudes.  Prior to coming to Williams, Paula taught at Union College in Schenectady, NY, where she developed a local government fieldwork program. Her other research experience includes research on ‘high reliability’ organizations and organizational consulting for The World Bank, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and the Schenectady Municipal Housing Authority.
